The page you clicked for is on my to-do list,
filed under "later," beneath a heavier pile marked "someday."
You didn't break anything. I did, by not finishing it.
Yes, the whole place is under construction
Mind the wet paint and the loose <marquee>.
Hi, I'm Sam. Welcome to my corner of the web, such as it is. I registered the space with big plans, a library book on HTML, and one free weekend. The weekend ended; the plans did not. Most of the site is still in boxes, but the door is open and the kettle is on, so please look around at the parts that exist.
What's going here (eventually)
The grand plan, in no particular order and on no particular schedule:
- About me: who I am, why the site, that sort of thing. SOON
- My projects: two finished, one abandoned, one imaginary. (coming soon)
- Photo album: under construction, waiting on the scanner.
- Cool links: a hand-sorted pile of the good web. Half sorted.
- The journal: a blog, if I ever write the second entry. (coming soon)
- Downloads: my desktop wallpapers and one MIDI. Someday.
Nine planned pages. One of them exists. You are reading it.
Grand opening countdown
Time until the finished site (allegedly) goes live:
Scheduled grand opening: 1 September 2026, around noon, give or take a long weekend. If the counter above says nothing, your clock and mine simply disagree, the date is the part that counts.
Dates on this site are aspirational. The previous two grand openings also had countdowns.
So, what happened?
A fair question. Here is the honest timeline. I built the homepage first, because the homepage is the fun part, and left the actual pages for "the weekend." Then the weekend got busy, and the one after that, and it turns out learning to align things without tables is its own kind of home renovation.
The scanner ate a photo and has been sulking since. The guestbook, by some miracle, works perfectly. So that is where things stand: one working homepage, one working guestbook, and a great many good intentions with borders around them.
Good news: nothing here is broken on purpose. It's just early. Bookmark the place and the rest will fill in.
Where you can actually go
A small honest map. Two of these links work today. I have marked which.
Sign my guestbook while you wait
You came all this way to an unfinished website. The least I can do is offer you the pen. The guestbook is the one corner of this site that is fully built, and signing it makes the place feel a little less like a construction site after hours.
